Elizabeth leads WRI’s sustainable investment program and is responsible for developing a consortium of institutional investors to pioneer sustainable investment models to achieve substantial environmental benefits while meeting the financial objectives of their institutions.
Elizabeth previously worked in private equity and management consulting. At Global Environment Fund - a private equity firm focused on natural resources and sustainable businesses, with over $1 billion under management - Elizabeth guided investment strategy and managed all investor relations. Before that, Elizabeth spent five years at Booz Allen Hamilton, guiding public- and private-sector clients as they evaluated alternative-energy technologies. Elizabeth has also served as a consultant on climate finance to the World Bank and International Finance Corporation. Early in her career, Elizabeth was an Analyst for the Massachusetts Renewable Energy Trust, and worked for senators Edward M. Kennedy and Max Baucus.
Elizabeth holds an A.B. in Environmental Science and Public Policy from Harvard College and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
Elizabeth is a member of the Board of Directors of the Harvard Alumni Association. She serves as Chair of the Investment Committee and a Board member of the Harvard Club of Washington, as a Corporation Member of the Winsor School in Boston, and as the Vice President and Assistant Treasurer of the Stella P. Holt Foundation. Elizabeth is passionate about improving access to college and served as Co-Chair of the Washington-area Harvard Schools & Scholarships Committee.
