Amita Schultes, Ph.D., Partner at Agility

Amita Schultes is a Partner at Agility and a voting member of Agility’s Investment Committee. Prior to joining Agility, Amita was a Partner, Managing Director, and Senior Consultant at Colonial Consulting where she served as the sole investment consultant to many endowments, foundations, and pension plans. Before joining Colonial, Amita was a Senior Consultant at Ibbotson Associates where she developed asset allocation programs for asset management companies, insurance companies, and broker dealers. Amita began her career as an Investment Consulting Analyst at Salomon Smith Barney.

Amita earned a BA and an MA in Economics from the University of Illinois at Chicago, an MS in Financial Markets and Trading from the Illinois Institute of Technology, and a PhD in Finance from Walden University. She is a former board member of the Service Program for Older People, the Bronx Lighthouse Charter School, and Family Advisory Council of the Komansky Center for Children’s Health at New York Presbyterian Hospital/Weill Cornell Medical Center. Dr. Schultes is a Trustee of the Mitchell Wolfson Sr. Foundation, serves on the Investment Policy Committee of the University of Illinois Foundation, is on the Advisory Committee to the Department of Economics at the University of Illinois at Chicago, serves on the Board of Visitors for the University of Illinois at Chicago College of Liberal Arts and Sciences and is a volunteer at the Chapin School library.
