From Walk to Run: ESG and Educational Endowments Today
Tuesday, 19 May 2015
WISE (Women Investing for a Sustainable Economy) and BASIC, with guidance from the Intentional Endowment Network (IEN), invite you to a panel discussion focused on ESG and educational endowments in the U.S. today.
What does the landscape look like for college and university endowments integrating ESG into their investment processes? How do educational endowments compare to their institutional investor peers on ESG? With student-led fossil fuel divestment campaigns gaining momentum and relentless media coverage, how are schools responding? Does the divestment discussion hinder or help the larger ESG conversation at these schools?
These are just some of the questions we will look to address as we try to unpack the unique challenges and stakeholders that educational endowments are faced with when considering ESG.
We are honored to welcome the following speakers for Tuesday's event. Directly following the panel discussion, we invite you to join us for a cocktail reception in the Financial District (location TBD).
