IEN Webinar: Investing Sustainably in a Time of Change

Thursday, October 29th, 11 am ET

The world is experiencing seismic shifts in its interconnectedness. Climate change is affecting ecosystems, populations and infrastructure. Social issues around equity, diversity, and inclusion; treatment of workers; and community engagement dominate our collective conscience. Issues including racial equity and inclusion, the COVID-19 pandemic, and ongoing geopolitical instability demand our focused action. Meanwhile, technology, business models, and regulations are evolving, and the very concept of shareholder primacy is being challenged.

With so much at stake, corporate stakeholders of all types – investors, customers, regulators, employees, the communities in which the businesses reside and operate – are informed and ready to act. The question is, “how?” How can responsible businesses and investors entities rise to the demands of our time, hone their competitive edge, and position themselves for continued success in an unpredictable future?

This webinar offers a chance to learn about how that TIFF Investment Management (TIFF) and World Education Services (WES) have begun to answer this question: through mission-aligned investing. TIFF is an outsourced CIO firm that has been managing money exclusively for non-profit institutions since 1991. WES is a social enterprise and a unique institution in the global education ecosystem, founded in 1974. WES’s mission is to advance the global mobility and integration of people into academic and professional settings by evaluating and advocating for the recognition of international educational qualifications and enabling individuals to fully utilize their education.
