Justin Wilson, Director, Diverse Asset Managers Initiative (DAMI)
Justin combines his legal and economic background to help clients succeed. He is experienced in working with all three branches of government: he worked directly on the nominations and confirmations of Attorney General Loretta Lynch and Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates, and he has lobbied the Hill and the White House on issues including affordable housing and forensic science.
Justin’s major policy campaigns include the Diverse Asset Managers Initiative, a campaign to increase the amount of money managed by diverse managers, as well as the Chemical Safety Campaign around reform of the Toxic Substances Control Act. Justin was also part of the Wounded Warrior Project team that helped to pass legislation around in vitro fertilization benefits for vets trying to start families. Justin spent a great deal of 2016 managing a coalition fighting for increased access to affordable housing for minority communities; the coalition included organizations like The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights and the League of United Latin American Citizens.
Justin is a Virginia native, a proud graduate of the George Washington University Law School and James Madison University, and member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity Inc. Sports and music are his two favorite forms of entertainment– and therapy– and he enjoys spending time at a good sports bar or discovering new music at a small concert venue, when he is not fighting for change.
