The Intentional Endowments Network and the Portland State University partnered to host a forum for colleges, universities and other mission-driven institutions to address how endowments can be positioned to create a more just, healthy and sustainable society.

This event will brought together sustainable investment experts with higher education administrators and trustees, endowment portfolio managers, foundation officers, and other key stakeholders. We explored possibilities, shared best practices, and identified ways to work together to pursue solutions.  The purpose was not to advocate for or against any one strategy, such as fossil fuel divestment, but to help participants understand the full range of possible approaches, and to examine how we might address these issues individually and collectively. The event was highly interactive and engaged attendees in the process of developing strategies, resources and support networks to meet their goals.
