Secha Capital was designed for operational support and value-addition in Southern African SMEs.

As an impact investing, micro private equity fund, it leverages an operator-investor model to invest in established SMEs to yield both social (job creation and SDGs 5, 8, 10) & financial returns.

Secha Capital Fund One was formed in 2016 to provide Southern African SMEs with growth capital, domain expertise and, uniquely, a way to second Africa's brightest youth to work alongside its best entrepreneurs in order to maximise impact and financial returns. To date, it has created over 100 jobs and grown each company from 3-12x top-line!

The $30M Fund II, with a 2% management fee and 20% carry, expects its first close in 2Q 2020, with USD and ZAR investors. It will invest in 12-15 established Southern African SMEs in the FMCG, agribusiness, business-enabling sectors via two waves of young Operator-Investors to create ~300 jobs and risk-adjusted PE returns.
