University of the Pacific

Founded in 1851 as California’s first university, University of the Pacific is a student-focused, comprehensive university with campuses across Northern California in Stockton, Sacramento and San Francisco. Pacific offers the choices of a major university – with more than 100 areas of study in nine schools and colleges – but also the personalized, one-on-one learning environments typically found in much smaller colleges. Ranked No. 11 among private universities in the American West by The Wall Street Journal, Pacific also is in the Top 2 percent in the nation in alumni career earnings and one of the nation’s most socioeconomically diverse universities. Pacific, which prides itself on experiential learning and community service, also is the highest ranked private university in the country that has Hispanic Student Institution-serving designation from the U.S. Department of Education. Seventeen Pacific Tigers teams compete in NCAA Division I in the West Coast Conference.
