Barbara Simonetti, Conversation Architect
Barbara Simonetti is president of Meetings that Matter, a consultancy that specializes in developing the capacity of professionals to create, share, and use knowledge to meet emerging opportunities and challenges.
She also serves as Board Chair of the National Coalition for Dialogue and Deliberation , a network of thousands of innovators who bring people together across divides to discuss, decide, and act together on today’s toughest challenges. She has contributed to the field of facilitation and education in both the public and private sectors where she has worked with a number of Fortune 500 companies. Her international corporate work has included the design and facilitation of international teams of senior managers and the creation of communities of practice and networks across functional groups and geographies. Most recently she has focused her efforts on innovative social profit organizations and is currently serving on the board of the New England Center for Investigative Reporting. In May of 2013, she organized a coalition of socially responsible investment professionals, church and community organizations to produced and facilitate a forum called “To Divest or Not to Divest” which can be viewed on You Tube. She holds a B. A. in Sociology from Fordham University, a M.S. in Education from Columbia University, and a M.B.A. from New York University.
