Building Resilient Portfolios: IEN Members Are Leading the Charge at Climate Week NYC 2024

Climate Week NYC 2024 is one of the largest global forums for climate change, gathering leaders from business, government, and civil society to collaborate on climate solutions. For endowed institutions, Climate Week provides critical insights into how sustainable and impact investing can drive climate justice while ensuring long-term financial resilience.

Why Climate Week Matters for Endowed Institutions

Endowed institutions, from universities to foundations, hold significant financial resources. These assets, if strategically invested, can influence markets toward climate-positive outcomes. Participating in Climate Week gives institutions direct access to the latest developments in climate policy, risk management, and sustainable finance, helping align investments with climate goals. Additionally, institutions can gain insight into supporting vulnerable communities disproportionately affected by climate change.

How Endowed Institutions Can Benefit

NYC Climate Week provides an abundance of opportunity for:

  1. Policy Updates: Understanding emerging climate regulations that could impact investment strategies. 2. Networking: Connecting with thought leaders and potential investment partners across sectors. 3. Climate Justice: Exploring how investments can support marginalized communities while enhancing returns. 4. Innovation: Learning about new climate solutions and technologies that can be part of investment portfolios.
