Jeff Mindlin, CIO at The Nature Conservancy, will open the conversation with a brief presentation on TNC's climate investing strategy. Following this institutional investor perspective, 4–5 lightning round presentations from climate VC investors will provide an overview of how they approach delivering impact and returns.

Chief Investment Officer, The Nature Conservancy
Jeff Mindlin is The Nature Conservancy's Chief Investment Officer, leading the strategic management of TNC's endowment and long-term investment assets. In this role, Jeff serves as a senior ambassador of TNC's investment strategy and mission, fostering relationships with investment partners, donors, financial intermediaries and other stakeholders.
Prior to joining TNC, Jeff worked at ASU Enterprise Partners since 2017 as the inaugural Chief Investment Officer. In this role, he guided the endowment through massive growth and was responsible for managing about US$2 billion of Arizona State University Foundation and ASU Enterprise Partners' investment capital. During his tenure, he was also tasked with aligning the investment strategy with ASU's leadership in sustainability. In 2023, Jeff was named Sustainability Innovator of the Year by Chief Investment Officer magazine for his role in ensuring these efforts aligned.
Jeff served on the boards of ASU's education technology accelerator (ASU ScaleU) and angel investor network (InvestU). He acted as a trustee to the retirement plan and advised on the investment management of ASU's operating funds. To support ASU's emphasis on experiential learning and sustainability, he was active with multiple student-managed funds and finance-related clubs. In addition, Jeff chaired the TIAA-Nuveen Investment Council and served on the Intentional Endowments Network's Executive Committee and Net Zero Working Group.
He previously served as Tower Square Investment Management's executive director and co-chief investment officer, overseeing the portfolio management team's portfolio selection, trading, proprietary money management and product development. He co-chaired the investment committee, which oversaw more than $5 billion in client assets.
He obtained bachelor's degrees in economics and finance from the W. P. Carey School of Business at ASU, where he also received the prestigious Moeur Award. He earned the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) designation. He is also the recipient of the 2025 NACUBO Rodney H. Adams Endowment Award.
