Higher Education Endowments & the Paris Climate Agreement: Investing for a Sustainable Future

Mon, 10/10: 2:00 PM  - 3:00 PM
Panel Discussion
Session E
Baltimore Convention Center
Room: 332

Higher education has been leading by example on climate change, striving for climate neutrality in campus operations and promoting education, research, and community engagement for climate solutions. In recent years there has been an increased focus on how endowment investments align with climate and sustainability goals.

As the nations of the world begin work in implementing their commitments under the Paris Agreement, American colleges and universities are uniquely positioned to support and accelerate progress towards meeting emissions reduction targets in the U.S.

This session will include a moderated discussion among leaders in the higher ed sustainability movement and investment professionals about strategies for coordinated support of the Paris Agreement by higher education. Participants will share what's happening at their institutions and be invited to join and help shape the future of this new, cutting edge initiative.
