Matthew Fitzmaurice

matthew_f.pngMatthew O. Fitzmaurice, Chief Executive Officer and Founder, EcoAlpha Asset Management

Matthew Fitzmaurice takes a pragmatic, returns-oriented approach to investment in companies providing effective solutions to problems affecting water, agriculture, and energy efficiency — companies he believes will benefit from a massive, global spend cycle that is just beginning. Before launching EcoAlpha Asset Management, he was a Founder and Managing Partner of AWJ Capital Partners, LLC, a global, multi-manager long/short equity fund of funds. Prior to that, he held leadership roles at long/short equity hedge fund Talaria Partners, LLC, emerging-growth company investment adviser Amerindo Investment Advisers, Inc, and Minneapolis investment bank Wessels, Arnold & Henderson. His investment experience spans over 25 years. In addition to his public market expertise, Fitzmaurice has extensive experience in late stage venture capital. He received his J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 1986.
