SDG #16: Peace, Justice, and Strong Institutions

The UN aims to promote peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, provide access to justice for all, and build effective, accountable and inclusive institutions at all levels. This is important because peaceful, just and inclusive societies are necessary to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals; people everywhere need to be free of fear from all forms of violence. Thus, it is imperative that governments, civil society, and communities work together to implement lasting solutions to reduce violence, deliver justice, combat corruption and ensure inclusive participation at all times.
