University of Richmond

The University of Richmond was founded in 1830 as a small academy known as Dunlora Academy and later became Richmond College in 1840. Originally affiliated with the Baptist Church, the university moved to its current campus in 1914 and officially became the University of Richmond in 1920, expanding its academic offerings and co-educational mission. Today, Richmond is a nationally ranked liberal arts university known for its strong programs in business, law, and leadership studies.
