Allison Spector

Allison Spector, Senior Manager, Investors' Council and Membership Programming, Global Impact Investing Network (GIIN)

Allison Spector serves as Manager for the Investors' Council and Membership Programming. In this role, she leads field-building activities for Investors’ Council members as well as two investor working groups focused on access to basic services and holding companies structures in impact investing.

Prior to joining the GIIN, Allison was the director of the Initiative for Global Development (IGD), where she advised multinational companies operating in Africa in the financial services and technology sectors on inclusive business and impact measurement strategies. Before IGD, Allison managed EC-funded sustainable development projects in China for the Beijing-based consultancy, Development Solutions. She began her career at Planet Finance in China, where she helped to launch Microcred Nanchong (one of the first microfinance companies in China) as well as Wokai, a non-profit microfinance intermediary. Allison graduated summa cum laude with a BA in International Studies from Emory University and holds an MSc in Sustainable Development from the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) at the University of London.
