Doug Cogan has devoted his entire career to serving institutional investors who wish to integrate environmental,social and governance (ESG) factors in corporate engagement, risk management, proxy voting and investment decisions. His expertise includes energy and environmental topics and fiduciary responsibility. His 1992 book, "The Greenhouse Gambit," was one of the first to examine how climate change would influence business and investment practices. At present, he is a Vice President for MSCI ESG Research and an asset owner consultant to pension funds, foundations and endowments. He provides investment decision making support tools that integrate ESG factors in portfolio risk and total plan management.
