Matthew Breidert, Partner and Senior Portfolio Manager, Ecofin
Matthew Breidert was named a Partner of Ecofin in May 2016. He is a Senior Portfolio Manager, overseeing sustainable, impact and ESG strategies, both long only and equity hedged, a position he has held since 2009. Before joining Ecofin in 2006 as a portfolio manager, Matt was an assistant portfolio manager at Millennium Partners from 2002, based in New York. Prior to this, he was an investment banker with SG Barr Devlin, a division of Société Générale, where he focused on mergers and acquisitions and financial advisory to global utilities and power companies. Previously he worked at Cornerstone Energy Advisers and FT Energy/RDI, where he focused on energy and utility‐focused economic policy. Matt earned his M.B.A. from Washington University in St. Louis and his B.S. from the University of Illinois‐Urbana Champaign.
