Michael Pearce, Managing Director, Cambridge Associates
Michael is a Managing Director in Cambridge Associates’ Menlo Park office, advising clients on investment issues such as asset allocation strategy, manager selection, and investment program evaluation. Michael works with a number of foundation, college/university, and private clients in the US ranging in size from $30 million to $2.2 billion. Michael also serves as a member of Cambridge Associates’ Mission Related Investing Group, researching and meeting with institutional quality managers focused on mission-related investing.
Prior to joining Cambridge Associates in 2008, Michael was an Associate at Pacific Community Ventures, a hybrid, double bottom-line, community-based investor and non-profit organization in San Francisco. Prior to graduate school, Michael worked at UBS Investment Bank in New York and London as an Associate Director in the Alternative Capital Group, raising over $1.5 billion for more than thirty clients, primarily from private equity, venture capital, and hedge funds.
Michael received a BS in Finance from Georgetown University and an MBA from the Walter Haas School of Business, University of California at Berkeley. Michael is a Partner at ChefStable Group, Restaurant Investment and Consulting in Portland OR, and sits as an Advisory Board Member for the Haas Socially Responsible Investment Fund, Berkeley CA.
