Roeland Donckers

Roeland Donckers, Co-Founder, Iungo Capital

Roeland Donckers is a serial social entrepreneur with over 13 years of hands-on experience in creating and managing start-ups in emerging markets. He started an impact investment company that built several SMEs from  the ground up in agro(-processing) and light manufacturing; he began a microfinance company from scratch with a unique rural credit methodology and successfully exited after 5 years; and started and managed a technical assistance business for local entrepreneurs while linking them to alternative end markets.

In 2016 Roeland co-founded iungo capital as the first impact investment company in East Africa to provide finance and support exclusively to SMEs in the missing middle, leveraging the resources of local business angels as co-investors. Roeland holds an MBA from IE Business School, a MSc in International Relations from Ghent University, and, most recently, a MSc in Behavioral Science from the London School of Economics. He is a Belgian citizen.
