Samuel Sussman is a Partner and Head of Investment Strategy for Alternative Investment Group. He is responsible for directing the firm’s top-down research, identifying investment opportunities across strategies, industry sectors, and geographies.  He leads Alternative Investment Group's sustainability initiative and is the Portfolio Manager of the firm's Alternative Investments Sustainability fund.  He joined the firm in January 2012. Prior to joining Alternative Investment Group, Sam was a Partner at Cadogan Management, where he was the head of research and responsible for sourcing and monitoring credit and event-driven equity managers. Before Cadogan, Sam was a Senior Managing Director at Bear Stearns where he spent nearly 13 years in the firm’s securitized products area. Prior to this, he was an associate/consultant at Corporate Decisions, Inc., a strategy consulting firm. Sam holds a B.A., magna cum laude, in Economics from Yale University and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
