Verity Chegar, Vice President, BlackRock

Verity Chegar, Vice President at BlackRock, is a member of the Corporate Governance and Responsible Investment (CGRI) team. She is a global ESG analyst responsible for researching fundamental environmental, social, and corporate governance (ESG) trends and their implications for investment and engagement on a global basis.

Her work informs the CGRI team's extensive ESG engagement program, as well as the integration of ESG factors into investment decision-making within BlackRock's active investment strategies. Prior to joining BlackRock, Ms. Chegar worked at Allianz Global Investors as an ESG analyst. She was responsible for research and ratings for companies in the global healthcare and global technology sectors.
