The past few months have been energizing for our network.
Much of the summer was focused on the second pilot cohort of the Endowment Impact Benchmark (EIB). Ten endowments & foundations are participating in this cohort. Both The Russell Family Foundation and the AJL Foundation earned platinum ratings—the highest possible. As we wrap up the rest of the assessments for this cohort, we are also turning our attention to confirming participants for the 2025 cohort. Endowments and foundations interested in participating or learning more should reach out to George Dyer at [email protected]
The team attended several events, including the UNCF UNITE Conference and the Impact Capitalism Summit hosted by Big Path; and co-hosted an event at ClimateWeekNYC with the Climate + Positive Investing Alliance. We also hosted a series of webinars and virtual meetings on a range of topics, including assessing political risk as investors, climate solutions in public markets, advancing racial equity, investment governance, and engaging stakeholders in the context of campus protests - all designed to help institutional investors navigate these challenging times. You can also check out new episodes of IEN’s Beyond Carbon podcast, co-hosted with FFI Solutions.
We're also excited to announce the launch of our Climate Justice Taskforce. This group of sustainable investing leaders is dedicated to developing IEN's "Leading with Justice 2.0," a resource to guide allocators in decarbonizing their portfolios while ensuring a just transition.
Lastly, don’t forget to RSVP for our 10th Anniversary Gala. Join us as we celebrate this significant milestone and look ahead to the future of our network! And whether or not you can join us at the Museum of Science in Boston on November 14th, please support our effort to seed the Anthony Cortese Fellowship Fund with a donation today.
Warm regards,
The IEN Team
